The first case of covid-19 in India, which originated from china, was reported on 30 January 2020.
From then till now it goes on multiplying leaving behind economic crises, social crises, many people lost their life, their homes, their jobs, and lot more problems were occurred, and many changes has taken place. One of the major changes occurred is in our education system.
Every thing in this world has 2 sides. We can not say that this is completely correct or completely wrong. Same goes with our new education system. We can not say the decision was correct or it failed totally. Today we are going to study both the sides of our new education system and at the end you only make the decision.
First we will see the positive side:
The coronavirus pandemic and therefore the ensuring lockdown have forced schools and colleges across India to temporarily shut and this unprecedented move had created an enormous gap within the education bodies despite the central and government doing their best to support for e-learning and online education. Globally, the Indian education sector is amongst the largest, with a network of more than 1.4 million schools and 320 million students listed on the AISHE. As the Indian education system was based on offline system has to opt the online classes for empowering the education and for the benefits of students.
This Digital Education has many positive effects on our education system, The digital learning platforms said the students are abiding by the learning schedule and submitting their assignments on time. All this contributes to personalized learning of students. Their are many other benefits associated with digital or virtual classes, especially promoting students voice and choice, a flexible learning pace, and the ability to learn anything from anywhere. Due to this new system students got a chance to learn the technology very closely. Many different platforms like Byju's , Topper, WhiteHatjr. are helping students to learn many advanced skills at very early stages, and students are also interacting with them. The coronavirus pandemic has set the ball rolling for mass upskilling of teachers. Those of them who feared and begrudged technology will see the power of ICT and adaptive learning and the true flipped classroom model will then become a reality. The teacher-based intervention will soar new heights and data analytics and data science-based intervention will be prime mover. With teachers adopting technology and becoming the best versions of themselves, the B2C e-learning model will be forced to step up their game.
There are many aspects by which we can say the decision taken by the government is not totally wrong. Many positive things are coming out of it, and our students and teachers are gaining digital knowledge which will help India to grow digitally.
